Uni-Hoc Beavers and Cubs Hockey Competition 11 May 2008

We had a fantastic event on Sunday with the unihoc tournament. Teams from Crowborough Beacon and Forest, Ticehurst, and Wadhurst competed for trophies and the event showed what great sportsmen our beavers and cubs were. On a blisteringly hot day the local ice cream van was busy throughout the event and teams were able to picnic under the trees whilst waiting to play.
The cubs and beavers showed a lot of style and sportsmanship. The atmosphere was competitive yet no tantrums or incidents occurred at all. It was a shame that there were so few teams entered but it is the first time that we have run this event and the response from beavers and cubs was that they wanted to do it again.
The results were so close there were only single points that separated all the teams

Winners - 1st Wadhurst

 Crowborough leaders and parents beat Ticehurst and Wadhurst leaders.
We will be pleased to run the event again next year since we enjoyed it so much ourselves.
