Recognition of People in Ashdown Scout District
Ashdown Scout District recognition of the dedication and commitment devoted to the youth of East Sussex. These people have been given awards since December 2006

The District Scout leaders pooled their resources to help Rotherfield Scout Group restart early in 2008.
Now we are all helping with a rotor to support the new leadership team restart Groombridge Scout Troop.

All
I would personally like to thank each and every one of you who have pledged help. It is so much more difficult to encourage others on to a sinking ship but your help really will make a difference. We already have offers of additional leaders from a couple of parents and I am hopeful of more to come (Possibly to the point where we could open the Cub pack again but one step at a time!). They will draw strength from your support and ideas from your knowledge, so what you are doing is wonderful.

I will endeavour to make as many meetings as possible (I look forward to proving you can teach an old dog some new tricks!), even though I am not mentioned on the rota. If anyone would like me to do something specific for their particular meeting, please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll do what ever I can.

In the same vein, I can also be available if any one needs specific help with a particular event/ meeting. My chosen subject area (That some might naturally chose to avoid!) would be IT but I have a couple of years Scouting experience so don't be frightened of asking (I can peel potatoes, drive mini busses (refer Tony Thompson!) etc)! Just make sure you book me reasonably in advance as my diary does fill quickly.

Once again, many, many thanks on behalf of 1st Groombridge Scouts.
