SATURDAY 25th February 2012, Beavers and Cubs 6pm-8pm Scouts from 8pm to 10pm

Swimming Gala for Cubs and Beavers

SATURDAY 25th February 2012, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

VENUE: Crowborough Leisure Centre, Eridge Road, Crowborough. TN6 2TN
CHECK-IN: At 5:30pm in the Sports Centre. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER.
TEAMS: One or more teams may be entered by each Beaver Colony and each Cub Pack. Each team should comprise between 6 and 10 children (but please note: the more children in each team the fewer races each one will be able to take part in!)
Names are not required in advance, so each Colony/Pack leader can decide how best to organise their teams right up until the last minute.
EVENTS: The gala will comprise a number of relay races and team games, with Beaver and Cub events alternating during the evening. Further details will be sent out on receipt of entry forms. Most events will take place in the shallow end but one final race for the cubs will use the full length of the pool. All events will be supervised by fully qualified lifeguards.
ABILITY: Beavers taking part must be confident in the water and able to stand in the shallow end of the pool. Cubs taking part must also have either gained their Stage 1 Swimming Award or have a Certificate to show that they are able to swim 25m unaided. All those taking part must have parental authorisation to take part.
COST: Just £10 per team. This is a great value event, heavily subsidised by the District.
ENTRIES: Just decide how many teams you want to enter (no need for individual names), then complete the entry form below and return this with your payment (cheques payable to Ashdown District Scout Council) by no later than 10th February 2012
